About

Welcome to Ian Branam's professional portfolio.

Ian is a health communications specialist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, Ga., as well as a freelance writer for health and science publications. He completed his M.A. degree in health and medical journalism at the University of Georgia in May 2014. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the UGA in 2012 with bachelor's degrees in history and psychology.

Ian works to coordinate communications for CDC's National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases as part of the adult and teen immunization teams. Ian hopes to continue using the skills he gained from his graduate program to translate complex scientific and medical information into plain language.
